About Us

Sloans Hairdressers in Glasgow was established in 1986 by Yvonne, a Glasgow-based hairdresser with 40 years experience in the industry.

Since 1986, we have tried to maintain and focus on our original goal – to always provide the best quality service, highest standards and value-for-money to all our customers. Sloans Hairdressers aims to make your visit to our salon a happy and friendly experience.

We are located in the Southside of Glasgow on the corner of Battlefield Road and Lochleven Road. We have air conditioning, free wifi and parking at the front of the salon. We pride ourselves on being child-friendly so don’t worry about bringing young children along.

Yvonne

Stylist

Yvonne opened Sloans in April 1986 and with over 40 years experience, she absolutely loves her work! Having worked full time for many years, Yvonne now works part time every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday allowing her to keep up with the demands of family life, running around after her beautiful children Sam, Toni and Dino. Working along side her is her mum and daughter, she loves every bit of having her family involved. Yvonne loves to welcome new clients but also loves to see clients who haven’t been to see her for a while.

Sandra

Manageress

Sandra has been the manageress in Sloans since 1989 and has over 40 years experience. She takes great pleasure in knowing she can make people feel better about themselves and listening to customers individual needs. Sandra is qualified in Beauty Works Hair Extensions. She has three beautiful children Ben, Holly & Carly and works Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Lynne

Stylist

Lynne has been working in Sloans for over 32 years, working Thursdays, Fridays till 2:30pm, and Saturdays. Fully qualified in all aspects of hairdressing, she also specialises in Wedding Hair and special occasions. Lynne has been married for many years and has two lovely girls Kara and Amy.

Janette

Colour Technician

Janette has worked at Sloans as a colour technician for over 17 years, working on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday. With over 20 years experience in highlights and all aspects of colouring. Janette is always constantly interested in looking and learning about new colours and treatments. She is kept busy with her lovely son Connor and her 3 fur babies.

Donna

Colour Technician

Donna has worked in Sloans for over 20 years and particularly enjoys hair colouring & Smoothening treatments. She works a Thursday, Friday & Saturday, as well as being a full time mum for her 4 gorgeous girls.

Megan

Stylist

Megan started with Sloans in November 2010 as a Saturday girl. On leaving school, she started full time employment in April 2011. Within 11 years of being here, Megan has become a fully qualified stylist, trained by our own team to our high standards. She enjoys all aspects of hairdressing, particularly Beauty Works Hair Extensions. Megan works a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday as well as looking after her two beautiful children Charlie and Olivia.

Adelina

Receptionist

Adelina has been the receptionist at Sloans since the salon opened its doors in 1986. Known as Mrs Sloan around the salon, she will always be on hand and willing to help client make their appointments either by phone, email or through our online booking system. Mrs Sloan loves working alongside her daughter and granddaughter. We still find it hard to believe she is 83 years of age and doesn’t want to stop working!

Toni

Receptionist/Colour Technician

Toni is Yvonne’s beautiful daughter , who joined the family business in 2016. Toni is capable of running the reception, social media and keeping up with the new trends. Learning alongside her mum to do hair extensions and other aspects of the business. She loves to welcome new clients with her charismatic nature and loves to listen to all their requirements.

Sonia

Beautician

Sonia joined the team at Sloans in April 2022, with over 5 years experience in eyebrows, lashes, facials and Indian head massage. Sonia is always happy to welcome new clients to her brow bar, keeps up with the new trends and listens to your needs. Sonia works Wednesdays. Fridays and Saturdays, as well as keeping busy with her two beautiful children.

Carly

Colour Technician

Carly started in the salon in 2023, following in her mum Sandra's footsteps, Carly is now training to become a fully qualified hair stylist and colour technician. Carly has a passion for learning new trends, colours and loves to welcome new clients to the salon!
